Welcome To Quinchos

Quinchos is a family owned and operated restaurant in the heart of Montauk, NY. We opened our doors in 2016 with, Wellington, also known as "Beef" to many, as our head chef. Wellington emigrated from Guatemala to Montauk in the late 90's to provide for his family. He began his career as a dishwasher at Shagwong Restaurant, where he eventually worked his way up to become head chef. He spent 10 years at Shagwong before moving on to run several local restaurants, including Inlet Seafood, The Dock, Gig Shack, and a few others over the years.

Throughout his career, Wellington always dreamed of owning his own place and sharing his talent, passion, and love for food with others. Alongside his wife, Sara, the family opened Quinchos - a takeout restaurant where cuisines from many Latin American countries are blended into one. At Quinchos, you can find a variety of homemade dishes, perfect for everyone to enjoy together.

The name Quinchos comes from our grandfather, Joaquin Sagastume, whose nickname in our family is "Papá Quincho." He, too, worked as a dishwasher at Shagwong Restaurant in the 90's, inspiring our family to work hard and never give up. Together, with recipes inspired by our beloved grandmother, Mama Tina, we have been able to create a menu with truly something for everyone. Our family runs this business with love and in honor of them both.

We appreciate everyone's support over the years and are incredibly thankful for the love we have received from the community. We look forward to serving you and your family your favorite dishes for many more years to come.

With Much Gratitude,

Wellington, Sara, Kim, Ileen & Kewen
